Jamie Melzer Founder, Watermelon Road
If your gut is telling you that something isn’t working, it’s probably not working. You know better than anyone.
Jamie is the founder and CEO of Watermelon Road. Raised in Wichita, Kansas, Jamie graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in finance and spent eleven years on Wall Street as an investment professional at Brigade Capital and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Her passion for food was stoked by a semester abroad in Paderno del Grappo, Italy, where she was captivated by the country’s simple and delicious meals. Jamie lives in Manhattan and East Hampton with her husband James, their 3 year old daughter Charlotte, and 10-year old Papillion, Sophie. Jamie has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Domino, Bon Appetit and won Campbell’s Real Food Innovation Challenge award in 2017 and the Project Nosh Pitch Slam Volume 4 in 2018. Her favorite fruit is a lemon, because it makes everything taste better.
