Emily H. Rudman is Korean and was adopted at a young age by American parents living in New York. As an Asian-American growing up in the States, she found it challenging to identify with the women photographed in fashion and beauty ad campaigns. She believes that beauty shouldn’t be about looking a certain way and is pleased that the old-school concept is finally changing. Her experience in the beauty industry began with her training at the Makeup Designory of New York in Beauty and Special FX Makeup. From there she went on to work for MAC Cosmetics as well as Avon Products in their Global Product Innovation team. After leaving Avon to attend cosmetology school, she received her MBA from Columbia. After consultancy jobs at Brigeo and Bobbi Brown, Ms. Rudman decided to finally start her own line, Emilie Heathe. Her intention was to create her vision of beauty, that combines many facets, including sophisticated packaging and ingredients that are ethically conscious and responsible. Art meets beauty meets integrity.
