Their hopes almost crumbled right along with their failed nutrition bar. But Kelli Koehler and her husband didn’t give up, and the remnants of that won’t-quite-stick-together energy bar ended up becoming one of Wildway’s bestselling products.
Being able to roll with the punches and learn from mistakes are a couple of the qualities that have put Kelli and Wildway on the health foods map. With a degree in marketing but no food design or production background, Kelli felt passionate enough about embracing a “live your best life” mentality that she decided to give entrepreneurship a try.
She and her husband, Kyle, decided to forge into unknown territory. They developed Wildway products to provide a full package of best-quality ingredients in easy-to-prepare breakfast foods. Grain-free granolas, hot cereal cups, and snack mixes are Wildway’s current line-up of fuel-packed offerings.
Grocers including Whole Foods, Wegman’s, and Kroger carry Wildway, along with regional chain health food stores. Amazon is Wildway’s fulfillment partner for online sales.
“At Wildway, it's about more than the food. It's about what the food allows you to do,” Kelli said in a piece in Deli Market News.
For Kelli and Kyle, Wildway allows them to not only eat well, but to also experience the myriad challenges and successes of running their own business.
