Have you ever stuck your cell phone in your bra? And then jogged with it there? We’ve all seen that frantic clutch at the chest as a female runner goes by, and we offer up a little prayer: let her just be adjusting her cell phone, not having a heart attack!
Caitlin McVarish knows the challenges of having no place to put stuff while training. A textiles expert and avid runner, she grew tired of trying to hold a phone/keys/you-name-it while on the trail. She knew there had to be a better way. All that time running gave her imagination room to expand and her brain plenty of oxygen, and she had an aha moment: What about a simple, strong, peel-and-stick pocket to position anywhere? And why not use upcycled plastic bottles to make it? After much trial and error, the Go Pocket was born!
Caitlin sells Go Pockets on the company website and via Amazon. It’s a side hustle that filled a personal need and helped fill a niche for the running world. And saved our bras from holding way more than they were made for!
